Preparing a path of sustainable regeneration in the fields of art, social and economic cooperation in EurAsia on the path of the New Silk Road started with the celebrations of the 20th Anniversary of the Asia-Europe Meeting at the United Nations in June-July 2016, and following in Rome Italy (EU) on December 1st 2016 and other EurAsian ASEM Partners from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean.

Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Asia-Europe Meeting

The “European Union Association” and the “Asia Europe NGOs Network” are pleased to cooperate with the Rosini Gutman Foundation in the organization of Celebrating ASEM11 - the 20th Anniversary of the Asia Europe Summit (ASEM) at the United Nations.
ASEM is an institutional cooperation platform which facilitates ongoing dialogue on political, socio-economic and cultural issues in order to strengthen relations and promote the exchange between the 51 countries of the Eurasian continent, the European Commission and the ASEAN Secretariat (Association of South-East Asian Nations), in a reference context that accounts for 65% of the population and 60% of world trade.
The partnership established with the Rosini Gutman Foundation has been and will be a key tool for the promotion and development of projects, perfectly consistent with the guidelines set out by ASEM with a view to an eco-sustainable development in the sign of culture and art.

1) Women Succeeding, A panel discussion on the importance of inclusive participation of women for the welfare and economic and social development of the countries and society: (Julia Valentine-Executive Vice President of the EU Association & Du Li Asian Affairs Vp of the Asia Europe Meeting NGOs Network at the UN both very successful women from Latvia(Europe-EU) and the People's Republic of China will present their perspectives to the United Nations during the next UN Commission on the Status of Women due to take place in March 2016
2) The Raise of Extremism: A whole day series of experts panel discussions due to take place at the United Nations chaired and coordinated with our EU Association Middle Eastern Affairs Experts on the reasons for the raise of extremism in the Middle East, Europe and the US as well as a review of possible strategies to address the underlying reasons of this tragic crisis.

The general debate of the 70th Session of the UNGA will take place from 28 September to 06 October 2015. In June, the Council adoptedEU priorities at the UN and the 70th UNGA focusing on:
international peace and security
global issues such as climate change, the post-2015 development agenda, and human rights
President Tusk will also attend a working lunch on climate change and the summit onpeacekeeping hosted by President Obama.
